LED technology offers a number of advantages. LED technology is energy-saving and LED lights do not humm or flicker. Brightness is immediately reached and there is no warm up phase required. Best of all, LED lights have a lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours, which corresponds to up to 35 years of 4 hours lighting per day.
Number of emitters
You can choose between one-, two-, three- or four-lamp LED spotlights. But what is the right number for you? You should think about what you want to illuminate and in which room you want to install the spotlights.
There should be enough light in the kitchen and dining room, so a multi-flame light is recommended. A single lamp may be sufficient in the living room.
Tip: Also take into account the space you need to install the light.
Beam angle
When buying an LED spotlight, consider the beam angle. This is the angle at which the light from the light source is emitted. A different angle is recommended depending on the use of your lamp. The distance from the light to the object is also taken into account. The rule is: the smaller the angle, the more selective the lighting. An angle of 120° is suitable for the general lighting of a room.
Do you often forget to turn off the light? If so, LED spotlights complete with motion sensors are perfect for you. The lights switch on when a movement is registered and automatically switch off again after a lighting period that you specify.
