Here are four tips to help you achieve good lighting in your stairwell
These points are worth considering when illuminating your stairs:
Always illuminate in a glare-free and shadow-free way. For example, from several light sources, in order to avoid optical illusions.
Make sure that the light does not reflect off a polished surface, which is especially important with spotlights on the stairs.
Make sure to install a light switch at the beginning and end of the stairs so you can switch the light on and off, no matter which direction you are coming from.
As an alternative to light switches, you could use a motion sensor in the stairwell to ensure your safety.
