Are you looking for a polished surface light or a rustic vintage-inspired look? The copper look inspires a lot of our vintage pendant lights. A lot of our copper pendants have two colours: copper on the outside with white or black on the inside. Contrasting colour not only looks great, but also has a positive effect on your indoor lighting. It means your light is refracted and reflected. Depending on the colour on the inside of your pendant light, the strength of the illuminated lights may appear stronger or softer.
Glass
You can design and shape glass in many different ways. Discover different coatings or styles with our glass pendant lights, as each feature significantly changes the look. The current trend is to have an 'outer' glass light. For example, the light may have a clear glass shade over an inner copper shade. This enhances the retro feel and adds an interesting interior design element to your home.
Wood
Wooden pendants lights offer robustness, calmness and are a timeless design. Wood is one of the oldest raw materials on earth, and is growing in popularity. The trend is far from over, which is why we like to use this material in many collections.
Spherical shape
Round does not always mean circular. Our pendant light is characterised by different sizes, shapes and uses. Due to its stylish and elegant design, our spherical lights are timeless and create uniform light in harmony.
Black
A black pendant light is currently right on trend! Black is considered classic, but can also be used as a bold statement for your indoor lighting. Tip: your interior lights can work well with rich cream or gold tones. These tones will help underline the elegance of your black pendant light.
A pendant light can be used in many ways, such as over tables in the living room or dining room. Since these types of lights hang down from the ceiling, the height can also be a deciding factor. If the light hangs freely in the room, the ceiling must be as high as possible, otherwise your new pendant light could be too invasive and risk being hit when someone walks past it.
Sometimes there are rooms in your house that require special design options. Large pendants look particularly good in a stairwell with high ceilings and wide stairs. Vintage-inspired designs are becoming popular and consist of only a socket, cable and canopy which are mounted as groups in rooms with high ceilings. This is an extraordinary way to present your indoor lighting.
Living room lighting
A living room is where you kick back and relax. A soothing light can help create a calm atmosphere. We often recommend an island of light in a living room. This is when there is a light that only illuminates a certain area rather than the whole room. This illuminated area gets enough light, but outside of this area is a lot darker. This type of light is similar to the calming effects of a fireplace.
Guarantee a cosy atmosphere by choosing a light that does not illuminate in all directions. Pendant lighting that emits light downwards works very well for this particular function.
Mount the light ensuring it is not in the way. We recommend placing it over the living room table.
Dimmable Pendant Lights
Being able to adjust the brightness on your light means you've got a lamp that suits every mood. You might want a bright light during dinner but more subdued during a cosy game night. Our dimmable pendant lights will provide you with the ability to adjust the light brightness to the desired setting.
Dining Room Lighting
It may sound strange but food and light compliment each other very well. Light is especially important over the dining table as the food often looks more delicious under this light. But style is also important, and you could also consider feature lighting for this purpose.
How high should the pendant lamp hang above the dining table? The 80:20 rule.
It is important that the pendant light does not dazzle, and that is why height plays an integral role. If in doubt, it makes sense to choose a height-adjustable light. You can use 80cm +/- 20cm above the table as a guideline for placing the light.
How can you adjust the height of a pendant light?
The easiest way to shorten the cable is to pull the light into the ceiling cover (also called canopy). Depending on how much space there is, you can accommodate more or fewer cables. But be careful as not all rise and fall pendant lights have the option of this simple shortening. Never cut the cables or suspensions of your pendant light. This puts you in danger and will void the products warranty.
LED Pendant Light
LED components offer innovative lighting technology, often used in pendant lights. This means designs can be narrower with no heat generation to worry about. Many LED lights can even be set to your desired light colour. This ensures that a warm light colour can be set to create a relaxing atmosphere at dinner. But then if you use the table for work, you could use a cool white tone to increase your concentration and productivity.
Lighting Design
Our LED components provide an amazing choice of new shapes and styles for your indoor lighting. You could choose a visible light with an open glass design. This allows for accent lighting.
