The Power of Colours
Lighting colours has a direct effect on your well-being and psyche. Take advantage of this phenomenon and create your own feel-good atmosphere with the right lighting.
Use any colour to create your desired lighting mood.
Some interior lighting can only produce one colour. It is important to ensure the right lighting for the right room area before making a purchase. Different lighting colours are recommended for different rooms in your home.
Set the tone: Our Relax and Work lighting range helps you to create a combination of cool white or warm white lighting. They allow you to choose between a cost ambient lighting solution for a more relaxing environment and also productive lighting for the working environment. This is achieved by using a single light source in the same room that is easy to use with your existing wall light switch.
The EGLO Connect range enables you to use an incredible range of colours and thousands of white tones. Using our system, you are equipped for every lighting mood.
As a brief overview, here are the most important rooms to consider:
Use a warm shade of white in the living room. This creates a relaxing ambient lighting atmosphere of calmness and optimism.
In contrast to warm colours, cool white tones ensure attention and efficiency. Use cooler tones in your office or workplace to increase productivity.
Warm colours work great above the dining room table. Colour rendering (the quality of the light) should be good for this choice of lighting. The higher this value, the more natural the colours are. The optimal lighting for the dining room has a CRI value above 80.
If the dining table turns into a workplace after lunchtime, compliment this change with a Relax & Work lighting product. Set a cooler tone of white and get started.
A warm white colour tone creates a cosy bedroom. You can use this lighting colour for the main light including your bedside lamps. Cool tones can be used in the wardrobe or at your desk area.
Start your day off right with good lighting around your mirror. Choose a light with the right tone and a high CRI value. We have LED lights with excellent colour rendering and would advise lighting with CRI values over 90.
