The children's room - refuge for little horses and cuddly bears, building site for dream castles, arena for ninjas and Martians. The right, child-friendly lighting with children's room lamps makes all this possible and much more: think also about the safety of your children (protective extra-low voltage!) - and about your own well-being! Whether footballs or aliens as children's room lamps, whether designs with stars, animals or flowers, here you will find everything a child's heart desires.
The children's room is the centre of your child's life. The memories of a happy childhood will accompany your child throughout its life. You want your child to fall asleep well in the evening? Do you want them to paint, tinker and build there? And that the tiresome homework is done quickly? You want the children to be able to play in the room without danger? Then make sure you have the right lighting.
But you may also consider your own well-being. Tidying up, sorting the endless Lego and Playmobil bits and pieces so that you can get through with the hoover, everything becomes much easier if you provide good ambient lighting.
If you are still breastfeeding in the children's room or keeping your night watch in case of illness, you should provide dimmable cuddle lighting for those long nights. This will make your life easier, you deserve it.
Parental happiness is when the children are asleep ☺
The right basic lighting in the children's room: For example with the LALELU ceiling light
Which lamps in the children's room?
For general lighting, it is best to use ceiling lights; these are bright and mounted on the ceiling out of reach of children.
If you use dimmable light sources, you can always create a soothing cosy atmosphere - this will help you get the children to bed.
Where the children draw or do homework, be sure to place a good desk lamp.
Small floor lamps in particular should have a protective extra-low voltage so that nothing can happen. And they should be robust so that they can be dropped from time to time.
For accents and a good night's sleep, it is best to use dimmable LED night lights - these are energy-saving and can stay on all night so that even the nightly walk to the toilet is accident-free.
Make sure the design is age-appropriate - after all, when visitors come from kindergarten, your child will want to proudly show off his or her room.
Safety first
Children are curious, everything must be inspected carefully, but a tiny electric shock can be life-threatening at a young age. Therefore, make sure that your children's room lamps are safe and age-appropriate.
Lamps with a normal mains voltage of 230 volts should definitely be out of reach of your children. A certain basic brightness is important, however, and you can best achieve this with ceiling lamps. These provide enough light and your children cannot come into contact with them.
All other lamps in the children's room should run under protective extra-low voltage so that the mains voltage does not pose a danger. These are, for example, LED or low-voltage lamps.
