How to associate my motion sensor with Alexa (Zigbee compatible)
connect.z products are directly compatible with an Amazon Echo 4 device with integrated Zigbee Gateway.
Before starting: Make sure your product is in factory reset state, not linked to AwoX Home Control APP or any other APP. 1. Ensure that you have an Alexa Echo 4 hub, which is “Zigbee“ compatible 2. Verify that your Alexa hub is well configured -> can be controlled with Alexa APP on your smartphone 3. Ensure that your connect.z motion sensor has at least FW version 2.3.4 (update it by using the HomeControl App if necessary) then remove the device from HomeControl APP, or factory reset it. 4. Connect with Vocal command using the Alexa hub a. Enable discovery mode of your motion sensor: press the button for 5 seconds b. Say “Alexa, discover my devices” (in English or your local language) c. Wait for 45 seconds, Alexa will discover your device and display it in “Devices” tab. d. Once your device is displayed on the Alexa APP, associate your lights with the Zigbee Alexa device (Detailed steps in “How to associate my light with Alexa (Zigbee compatible)”) e. You can now group your lights and motion sensor using the classic association process: Stay within 30cm to the product, press the button for 3s => video f. If your light is correctly associated to the motion sensor, the light will blink for a few seconds. Your environment is now set up, you can perform advanced settings (rename, group) using Alexa APP or voice control.
