A recessed light or downlight is a light fixture that is installed into a mostly round hollow opening in a ceiling. When installed it appears to have light shining from a hole in the ceiling, concentrating the light in a downward direction as a broad floodlight or narrow spotlight. The angle of a downlight can also be adjusted They are specifically ideal for interior lighting of wardrobes or shelving. The most common uses are low voltage Halogen bulbs, halogen bulbs and compact bulbs.
